Terms of Service

1. Service Provider

Foilio is operated by Pavel Taiko, IČ: 69371776 ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the Foilio app, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Description of Service

Foilio is a mobile application for tracking Magic: The Gathering card collections. The app lets users scan cards, manage collection data, view prices based on data from Cardmarket and TCGplayer, and follow collection value over time.

3. Terms of Use

You agree to use Foilio only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the app.
• Perform reverse engineering, decompile the app or disassemble it.

4. User Account

To use Foilio, you must create an account with a supported sign in method. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Please notify us at hello@foilio.cards if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the collection data you enter into Foilio. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data so we can provide the service. We do not sell your collection data. We process it through service providers and publish it only when you choose to create a sharing link, which Section 6 covers.

6. Shared Links

Foilio lets you create a link to a single card or to one of your binders. Creating a link publishes a page on this website that anyone holding the link can open in a browser, without an account and without signing in. Nothing is published unless you create a link, and creating one is always your decision.

By creating a link, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display the content of that card or binder for as long as the link exists, only so we can serve that page. The license ends when you revoke the link. You keep ownership of your collection data throughout.

You are responsible for what you publish and for who you give the link to. A link address is difficult to guess and shared pages are excluded from search engine indexing, but a link is not a password. Anyone who receives it can open the page and pass it on. Treat a shared link as public.

You can revoke any link at any time in Settings, under Sharing. After revocation, the page stops working for everyone. Revocation cannot reach copies that already left us. A messaging service or social network may keep a cached preview, and anyone who opened the page earlier may have saved what they saw.

We may remove a shared page or disable a link without notice if it is used in breach of Section 3, if it infringes the rights of others, or if the law requires us to. Removing a page does not affect the data in your collection.

7. Intellectual Property

Magic: The Gathering card names, artwork, and game content are trademarks and copyrights of Wizards of the Coast LLC. Foilio is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Card data and imagery used in the app are used under applicable fair use provisions for the purpose of collection tracking.

The Foilio app, its design, and original content are owned by Pavel Taiko and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Availability

We strive to keep Foilio available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from temporary unavailability of the service.

9. Card Prices

Card prices displayed in Foilio are based on data from Cardmarket and TCGplayer and are provided for information only. Prices may be delayed or inaccurate. We do not guarantee the accuracy of pricing data and are not liable for financial decisions based on prices shown in the app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Foilio, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
