What's New in Foilio 1.0.4: Binders, Exports, and Value History

The last two Foilio updates brought the biggest batch of new features since the app launched. If you haven’t opened Foilio in a while, here’s everything waiting for you.

Binders: A New Way to Organize Your Collection

The biggest addition is Binders, custom card albums you can organize around the way you collect. Favorite cards, cards for sale, a trade list, a deck in progress… anything you can think of.

Every binder has its own color, a clean tile with a preview of its cards, and its own value. Foilio calculates what the cards in each binder are currently worth on the market and shows you how that value changes over time on a chart.

A binder can also be a wishlist for the cards you are still looking for. A wishlist binder flips the perspective: instead of the value of cards you own, it shows you what the missing cards would cost. Add the cards you’re hunting for, even ones you don’t own at all, and Foilio starts tracking their prices daily. Own the regular version but still looking for the foil? The binder knows and only counts what you’re actually missing.

The fastest way to your first binder? The heart in the card detail. One tap and the card is in your Favorites.

Update, September 18, 2026: This post describes the exports available in version 1.0.4. Version 1.2.0 replaced CSV spreadsheet exports with formatted XLSX files.

Export a Spreadsheet, Deck List, or Collection Backup

Your collection is yours. With the new export feature you can take it out of the app wherever you need, in three formats:

• CSV spreadsheet with quantities, sets, and prices in euros and dollars. Open it in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.
• Plain text deck list in the standard format, perfect for quick sharing.
• JSON backup of the cards in your collection, including their quantities and finishes.

These exports cover card records rather than a complete backup of the account, binder structure, and graded cards. You can export the whole collection or the cards in a single binder. Use the system share sheet to send the file by email, save it to your device, or upload it to the cloud.

Follow Changes in Your Collection Value

The previous update already transformed the home screen. Below your collection’s total value you’ll now find a chart of its history. Switch between 7, 14, 30, and 60 days and slide your finger across the chart to inspect a date in that range. Changes reflect both card prices and cards added to or removed from the collection.

On top of that, there’s the reworked Next Targets section, which shows you which sets are within reach of completion, plus an improved overview of the biggest price movers in the last 24 hours.

Card Detail With New Tricks

• Cards with two faces flip with a smooth 3D animation so you can view both sides.
• Zoom with a gesture: pinch to magnify the artwork, just like you’re used to with photos.
• Jump straight to Cardmarket or TCGplayer with a single tap from the card detail.

And Plenty of Things You’ll Feel Rather Than See

Both updates also improved everyday use. Marking cards as owned responds instantly, search got a numeric and alphabetic keyboard toggle (searching by card number is lightning fast now), prices are consistent across the entire app, and refreshing data is noticeably quicker.
